Temporary Accommodation

AHL and its sister company FAHL own 7 properties within the Eastleigh area including 2 in Bursledon / Netley and 1 each in Fareham and Southampton to provide individuals and families with temporary accommodation.

All referrals come via the respective Local Authority Housing Departments for people who are found to either be Statutory Homeless under the 2002 Act or at risk of homelessness.

Primarily, the Temporary Accommodation Worker looks after the housing management of this accommodation.

The accommodation can consist of single rooms with shared communal facilities, self-contained 2 room flats and 3 units for larger families. Where possible properties that have shared communal facilities also have sinks in the bedrooms. All the temporary accommodation meets or exceeds the requirements set down by housing law.

We have ‘drop in’ facilities for tenants where the Temporary Accommodation Worker can be contacted to discuss any issues.

For the Eastleigh Area we have a ‘drop in’ at the new estate office in Cranbury Road which is opposite the Community Centre. This is from 8.30am to midday every Thursday morning, subject to operational demands.

In Fareham this is found in the Civic Building Housing Department on the third floor and is, again subject to operational demands, every Wednesday morning from 9.00am to 11.00am.
