Thornhill Development

Atlantic Housing was recently selected by Thornhill Plus You to consider the possible residential redevelopment opportunities for 2 sites owned by Thornhill Plus You in the Thornhill area of Southampton.

The sites are

  • the former Swallow Public House site off Hinkler Road. The pub was demolished in 2007 and the site has remained vacant since
  • St Colmans church off Warburton Road. The church has not been used since 2001, with the church being surplus to the needs of the Diocese of Portsmouth.

Atlantic Housing has worked on plans for the redevelopment of the 2 sites, following the successful development of new affordable homes in the Thornhill area.

The proposal would be for Thornhill Plus You to sell the sites to Atlantic Housing for Atlantic to develop for new affordable homes.

This webpage site will be regularly updated as the scheme progresses. Please note that these plans are currently works in progress and may well change as a result of consultation with residents.
